Rose By Any Other Name...

I had some time off of work over the holidays and took the Free Rose Colouring Class from Kit and Clowder.  The class is free and includes this beautiful rose digital image from Power Poppy.  The class was excellent.  You can learn techniques for coloring the rose using pencils or markers.  Alyce is a great teacher.  She explains the art theory behind what she is demonstrating so that you can apply the techniques learned to other images.  I was so pleased that I purchased some additional classes.

I colored several rose images during and after the class.  This is my favorite of all the roses that I practiced on.  Since it was so pretty, I decided to fussy cut it and use it for a card.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Sending Love Your Way

Hello!  I'm still working on Valentine's Day cards.  This year I am planning on mailing more cards than usual to friends and family that I am not able to regularly see due to COVID.

I used this cute bear from Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios to quickly make 5 cards.   The bear is colored with Copic markers and the hear was paper pieced.

I rubbed with reverse side of the hears with my embossing stylus and used dimensional tape to give the heart dimension.

The design of all the cards is the same.  Paint spatter, sequins, and hearts left from cutting the boarder were used as embellishment.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Just a Little Something

Hello!  Today I want to share the card I made for my mother in-law's birthday.   I took the opportunity to make a card to send to her and one for my stash.

When I saw this digital stamp from Alex Syberia Designs, I just had to buy it.  I love these beautiful flowers.

For the second card, I used the same design with similar papers.  I think a went overboard with the sequins but it still looks okay.

For each card, I printed the image 3 times.  Here is a closer look at the layers.

Lastly, here is a peek at the inside of the card.

Thank you for stopping by!   Stay safe!

Bunny Blowing Kisses

Hello!  I have a couple of  Valentine's Day cards to share today.  I usually only make two cards for Valentine's day but this year my list has expanded.  With every one so isolated, I have a much bigger list of people to send cards to in an effort to spread a little cheer.

The layout of the first card is my usual style / comfort zone.  Layers, designer papers, stitching...

For the second card, I tried to step out of my comfort zone and create a CAS card.  I don't know if this is considered CAS because there is still a lot going on but it was fun to try something a little different.

Which do you like better?

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Happy Camper

My husband really wants to purchase a travel trailer.  We talk about it almost daily trying to decide what size and style would work best for our family, places we want to visit, tips and tricks we have read on-line, etc.

When I saw this camper stamp on Etsy from Pretty Cute Stamps, I knew it would be perfect for a birthday card for my husband.

I had the October Afternoon Campfire 8x8 paper pad in my stash and finally had the perfect opportunity to use them.   To add texture, I roughed up the edges of the papers and use some pieces die cut from a Starbucks coffee sleeve.  Lastly, I added some stickers that I found in my stash.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day!
