Drink Coffee!

Hello!  I'm popping in to share another card quick card for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop.

This card went together really quick.  I have a little bin on my desk that I use to save all the die cuts and little bits that I cut but didn't use on a card.  For this card the only thing I cut was the pink coffee cut lid and the pink heart, the rest of the pieces were in my handy little bin.

I feel like I want to add something to the card, but I'm not sure what.  I tried various sequins, gem stones, buttons, etc. but nothing seemed right so I left it as it is.

Link up your coffee, tea, hot cocoa/cider project by clicking on the graphic below.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Life Happens, Coffee Helps

Hello!  I have not had a lot of time to craft lately and when I do have time, I am sadly lacking in creativity.  When I saw the post for the Spring/Summer  Coffee Lovers Hop, it was just the kick to get me going.  Although we finally had some nice, spring weather here, I spent some time in my craft room making cards for the hop.

Although I have quite a few coffee themed digital stamps and stamps, I used the hop as an excuse to purchase this cute owl on a coffee cup from  AlexShopsArt on Etsy.  The Echo Park Coffee and Friends 6x6 paper pad made these cards together pretty easily.

I am working to make a number of cards to send to a senior community.  I sent a care package before Christmas and hope to another one ready to send soon.  (If you would like to send cards or notes, please click here for the details.)  I'm sure some of these cards will make their way into the care package.

Don't forget to link up your creation and hop along with the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop for lots of caffeinated inspiration.

Thank you for stopping by!

Cheryl

Whimsy & Stars Studio Blog Hop

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! To get ready for the season, the Whimsy and Stars Studio team is having a blog hop to show off all the Christmas and winter themed images available from Whimsy and Stars Studio and to introduce the new Winter 2013 design team members!

If you just arrived from Whimsy & Stars Studio blog, you are on the right track! If not, please start at the beginning of the hop at the Whimsy and Stars Studio blog to make sure you don't miss out on anything. Hop along and leave a comment for each member of design team.  The hop will end on Friday, December 7th at midnight EST.  One random winner, to be announced on the Whimsy and Stars Studio blog on December 8th, will be picked from all the comments received to win the Grand Prize of THREE DIGI STAMPS.

I am really feeling in the Christmas spirit this year. That is really saying a lot since my brother nicknamed me Scroogie McGrinch the last few years. I know, I know… on my blog I would still post Christmas cards but I really wasn’t feeling it. But, I am a strong believer in “fake it until you make it”. Act happy and energized (or in the mood for Christmas) and the next thing you know, you are starting to feel it. (Any of my Jazzercise friends want to give me a “Woo!”?) Any how, this year it is the real deal. I am feeling it my friends!   I have been playing Christmas songs since mid-November and am really enjoying making holiday projects.  I especially like how this one turned out.

2012-12-04 WSS Blog Hop Tag card WM

For my project, I used the image the image “Xmas Tag” which is currently the image you can receive as a special gift with purchase.    In fact, for the duration of the hop, Mabelle is offering a special gift with purchase. With any order from the Whimsy and Stars Studio Etsy store, you can select one of two special images, Stocking Ted or Xmas Tag as your free gift.   Here is a look at both of the digis.

Since we are showing off Mabelle’s adorable Christmas and Winter digital stamps, I thought I would show you some of my favorite projects that I have created with them in the past.  Her images are just the sweetest and so fun to work with.

Welcome to the first Whimsy and Stars Blog Hop!   You should have arrived here from the Whimsy & Stars Studio blog.  If not, you might want to start at the beginning so that you don’t miss out on anything.
Here is the complete blog hop list in case you get lost along the way.

Cheryl  (You are here!)

The Design Team has been busy  creating beautiful projects with the NEW Spring Release Sets. Make sure you stop at each blog along the way to check out all of the inspiration, and don't forget to leave a comment at each stop! Two random lucky readers will win this week's New Released Digi Stamp design!   Now if that is not enough, Mabelle released a new Digi today, be sure you check it out!

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait until summer arrives.    Floaty Girl brings to mind warm summer days spent by the pool.   With her cute little pigtails, she reminds me of my daughter when she was younger.

I wanted to add a few freckles but I was running out of time and was afraid that I would make a mistake and “wreck” my image.   What do you think?  Does she need some freckles?

I am so excited to be part of the Polkadot Door Designs celebration for 2 years on the web.  In the spirit of celebration, we are having a blog hop where you'll find lots of prizes and inspiration along the way.

Of course a blog hop for the Polkadot Door wouldn't be complete without an inspiration challenge.  They asked some of  their favorite friends throughout the world to create a project based on an inspirational photo and join in the hop.  (You can see the inspiration photo below.)

For my card, I paired some sweet gingham papers from Simple Stories with this sweet pea baby image from Whimsy & Stars Studio to create a baby card for our neighbors who are expecting a new addition to their family soon.

Meljen’s Anniversary Blog Hop & Blog Candy

Welcome to our blog hop to celebrate Meljen’s Designs 2nd anniversary! You should have just hopped over from Ceal’s blog. If not, you might want to start at the beginning of the hop on Audrey’s blog so that you don’t miss out on anything. Remember you have a chance to win a Meljen’s Designs digital image at each stop on the hop along with a grand prize of a bundle of Melissa’s favorite images which will go to one lucky hopper.

Can you believe grand opening of the Meljen’s Designs store and the kick off of the Meljen’s Designs first design team took place just two years ago? When we were asked to make a project using our favorite Meljen’s Designs image for the hop, I have to admit I was at a bit of a loss. Melissa has created so many fabulous images over the last couple of years that I cannot pick a single favorite. So, in honor of Meljen’s Designs anniversary or birthday, I decided to use Birthday Cake Mouse. I guess you could say he is my favorite for this week. Besides, what kind of birthday celebration is it with out cake and candles?

I am giving away this image, Birthday Cake Mouse to one lucky winner who leaves a comment on this post before the close of the blog hop on April 6th at 9 a.m. central time. If you would like a chance to win this cutie, be sure to leave your email address in your comment so that I have a way to contact you.

Here is a look at the uncolored image. Of course the winner will get the version with out the watermark.

Melissa is also having a BOGO (buy one get one free) sale on digital images in the shop for the entire month of April.

I was on the original Meljen’s Designs DT and participated in the first blog hop. For fun, I thought I would share the projects that I made for that hop 2 years ago. (You can see my original post HERE.) I think I have progressed a long way with my crafting.

Here is a list of all the stops on the hop in case you get lost along the way. Don’t forget that you can have a chance to win a Meljen’s Designs digital image on each stop of the hop. There will also be a GRAND PRIZE winner who will receive a bundle of Melissa’s favorite images, so be sure to comment at every stop.

OWH World Card Making Day Blog Hop

It’s a fabulous day for a blog hop, especially when it is for a great cause like Operation Write Home (OWH). I am thrilled that you have found your way to my blog. If you just happened upon the blog hop and would like to start at the beginning, click on the “Start the hop” button above. If you are interested in finding out more about the OWH organization or how you can donate cards, you can find their blog HERE.
For my cards I used an image designed specially for this hop by Melissa Jenkins of Meljen’s Designs. I tried to keep them relatively flat so that they would be easy to mail. On the inside, I attached an additional flap of paper so that they will have additional room to write a letter. (I got that idea from some one on a previous OWH blog hop.)

I’m not going to make you read through a long blog post. I know you have a lot of blogs to stop at today. If you like the image I used on my cards, make sure you hop by the Meljen’s Designs blog hop post to download this digital freebie.

Thank you for hopping by!
