Little Pumkpins

Hello!  I have more cards to share with you this week.  I used the Little Pumpkin digital stamp from All Dressed Up Stamps.

Although both cards are very similar, the color of her dress is different in each.  I think I like the dress in blue better.

Bat Cat

I realized that Halloween is at the end of the week and that I needed one more card.  I decided to use Bat Cat digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I wanted to create a background so I used this tutorial to help me..

I didn't have a sentiment stamp that fit with my design.  I printed the sentiment on vellum using the "Best" mode on my printer.  As soon as it came out of the printer, I immediately poured on embossing powder and heat embossed the sentiment.  I wasn't sure it would work, but it did.  :)

Thank you for stopping by!   I hope you have a great day!.

Fall Dance

Hello!  Today I wanted to share a card that I made using Fall Dance digital stamp from Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios.  I love this image.  It is another one that reminds me of my daughter when she was younger.

Today was a beautiful autumn day.  It was a little cool but the sun was out this morning. The leaves are beautiful.  My husband and I took our dogs to our local park for a walk and saw a bald eagle.  We don't see too many of those around here so it was kind of exciting.

I hope you have a great day!  Thank you for stopping by.

Here for the Boos

Hello!  Today I'm sharing some Halloween cards that I made to send to some of my girl friends.  When we get together (pre-COVID) there was usually a glass of wine or a martini involved.  I thought the pun would be appropriate.  I think any of them follow my blog so I am safe posting them here.

I originally wanted to create a spooky card but when I looked through my files of images I found these cute ones and decided to use them.

The next one uses different papers with the same design.  I was trying to use up some of the partially used paper pads that I have laying around.  Also, I actually left some white space!  It is mostly covered, but there is some showing.  I hardly ever do that.  Usually I keep fussing until no white space if left.

The ghosts' heads and hands along with the jack o lantern are all popped out using dimensional foam.

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you have a fabulous day.

Zombie Girl

I wanted to try my hand at coloring something a little bit different.  I decided to use Halloween as an opportunity to try to color green-ish skin.  I found this old image from Whimsie Doodles in my files and thought she would be perfect.

I made another card a few weeks ago that I was going to send my daughter but I think I might send her this one instead.   I think she would like this zombie more.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

I have had this image from A Day for Daisies for a long time. I think it was a freebie digital stamp some time ago.  I was never brave enough to try to color it before but decided to give it a try.  I am pretty pleased with how this worked out.

Here is a closer look at the image.   The back ground is a bit more purple in real life and works well with the background papers.   Did you notice the ravens in the DP?  I was really excited when I notice I had paper with ravens.  I think I won this paper years ago and had it sitting my stash.

When poking through my craft supplies I found a jar of plastic spiders.  I don't know why I have them but I though one would work well on this card.   I didn't have a sentiment that worked well so I used some alphabet stickers that I had stashed and used ink to grunge them up a bit.

So what do you think?

Thank you for stopping by!   I hope you have a great day!

Apple Picking Bear

I was scrolling through my collection of digital stamps looking for an autumn or Halloween image to print and color.  When I saw this bear from Birdie Brown I just had to pick him.  For some reason he reminds me of my brother. (Don't tell him!)

Here is a closer look at this sweet bear.  Now I want to make a trip to the apple orchard.  I love their cider donuts and better yet, cider shakes!

Since I printed 2 images and was able to color them both without wrecking one, I had to make another card.  I decided to try my hand at another shaker card.

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you have a great weekend!

Cute Trick or Treaters

Hello!  I think autumn is here.  We have had to turn on the heat and I've been cold when walking the dogs.  Our town has not cancelled Trick or Treat but I'm not sure how it will work with COVID.  I have stayed strong and haven't purchased any candy yet.   I know if it is in the house I will eat it.

To get in the autumn / Halloween mood, I spent some time in my craft room making a Halloween card last night.  I enjoyed coloring this cute image.  I actually printed two with the intent of making two cards, but somehow I messed up coloring the second image.    This is the first time I tried coloring a night scene.  I don't think the highlighting or the background are right, but its okay for a first attempt.

Later this month, I will send this card to my daughter who is away at college.  I miss having her at home and worry about her with all the news stories about the increasing rates of COVID infection on university campuses.

I want to make a few more Halloween cards to send to family and friends this year.  I hope I have time to work on them this weekend.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day!
