Great Impressions–Poinsettia Gift Card Holder

Happy Monday!  Today I have another gift card holder to share with you today.   I created this by using one of the poinsettias from Great Impressions Poinsettias & Berries (K40) stamp.   I stamped the small poinsettia several times on DP, shaded them copics, cut them out and layered them.

Coffee Gift Card Holder

This week I made a gift card holder to give a Starbucks GC to a friend.  I used Coffee Girl by Whimsy & Stars Studio and the Papertrey gift card die.

2012-05-22 WSS Coffee WM

I love the big coffee cup she is holding.  The last few mornings I could have used a coffee cup that big.  The problem is that I don’t drink plain coffee.  I love CafĂ© Mocha’s.   I wonder how many Weight Watchers points a mocha that size would be?   I would probably have to live on my treadmill for the rest of the week…

Did you notice her red hair?    I think I mentioned before that I seem to usually color hair blonde.    I decided to step outside my comfort zone and give a red head a try.    The one you see here is attempt number seven.  Good thing I finally got one that was acceptable because I was running out of crafting time.

Thank you to every one that has sent get well wishes to my dog, Summer.   She still isn’t fully recovered by she is doing much better.  She is still having issues with her balance but she is not falling all over the place any more.

I hope you have a great week!  Thank you for stopping by!

Meljen’s Designs Use Twine Challenge & a Sale!

Happy Thanksgiving to my readers in the US! Now that Thanksgiving is here, it means that the big push to Christmas is starting. I thought I would share a couple of gift card holders that I made using digital stamps from Meljen’s Designs.

I think a handmade gift card holder is a great way to warm up or personalize a gift card. Using the Gift Card Greetings metal die from Papertrey and a digi stamp from Meljen’s Designs is a a cute and easy way to make a holder for any gift card.

To decorate this gift card holder, I used one of the new images that Melissa is putting into the store today. Since Melissa has really been in the Christmas spirit lately, she has designed a lot of new, fabulous, Christmas themed images. Check all these out!

The new challenge on the Meljen’s Designs blog is “Use Twine or String”. I can’t wait to see what you come up with. To link up your project or see the challenge rules, see the Meljen’s Designs blog.

To help get you in the holiday spirit, Melissa is having a sale on her digital stamps. 50% off – is that awesome or what? (Click on the banner below to go to the store)

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous day!

Monday with Lindsay - The Envelope Please....

Our theme this week is "The Envelope Please." When I was trying to decide what I wanted to do and I was digging through my stash, I stumbled across this little envelope. I only have one, I have no idea where it came from, but it is the perfect size for a gift card. Now that I made my project, I think I am going to look for some more of these little envies. Or maybe I will even make my own. (Lindsay is offering a free template on her blog so you can create your own envelopes.)

This cute little party hat comes from Lindsay's Birthday Cupcake Wrappers set which contains digital stamps, templates and a SVG file. For just $3 it is a steal. The sentiment comes from All Around Phrases. It just took me a minute to change it from black to brown. She even offers a free add on to this set which contains digital papers and another sentiment.

Last week, I said that I would draw the name of one commenter on my paper piecing tutorial to win the Daisy Doodles digital stamp set from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. Thank you to every one who took the time to comment. The winner is
Tamara who said...
What a great idea! I love your card, and such a great tutorial!!!
I can't wait to try this! Hopefully I can try it with those
wonderful digi's! Thanks!!!
.
Tamara, you included your email address so I will forward it to Lindsay.

MyGraficO Customer Blog Hop - gift card holder

I decided to make a gift card holder using the snowlady image from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Warm Winter digital stamp set. I love the snow couple from this set. Take a look at my previous post HERE to see how cute they look together.

The inside includes a pocket to hold the gift card and a white section on which I plan to add a personal note to the recipient.

If you just jumped into the blog hop, a complete list of participants can be found HERE on MyGrafico.

If you would like to see some additional Holiday packaging ideas using this cute set, please check back on Monday. Lindsay (of Lindsay's Stamp Stuff) challenged her DT to create some Holiday packaging and I have two additional projects in mind.
