Catered Crop–Seeing Red

Hello!  I’m back. I’m sorry I have been gone so long.  Things have been so hectic that I haven’t had the chance to spend time in my craft room for months.  I was able to sneak away to my craft room for a while this weekend and hope to make it a regular event.

I decided to use the Catered Crop’s Seeing Red recipe swap and take the opportunity to cook up some note cards to give to my mother in-law.  Although I only had time to make 4 cards, it was great to spend time in my craft room again.

Simple Washi

Hello!  Today I wanted to share the last set of notecards that I made for the silent auction, fundraiser at my daughter’s school.   I tried to keep them CAS and I wanted to use some of my washi tape stash.

Here is a look at the entire set.   Since they are all pretty much the same except for the sentiment, I’ll save you a photo heavy post.

Scrappy Note Cards

Hello!  I was going to post these cards on Thursday but I lost track of time this week.  It has been a bit of a crazy week.  I lost my job of 15 years on Tuesday and I have been busy doing paper work and tying up loose ends.   Although I definitely am not happy that I was laid off, I think this might be the kick in the rear that I need to re-examine my goals and give something new a try.   Maybe I’ll even be able to find something in the crafting world.

Anyhow, this is another set of notecards that I made for the fundraiser at my daughter’s school.    I wanted to use up some designer paper scraps that I have been saving.  I like this collection too much to throw out the last few pieces that I had left.  I think I will be turning to this design again in the future to use up some scraps.

I don’t want to post pictures of each individual card since they are basically the same.  Instead, here is a look at the set of 6 note cards.

Leaf Note Cards

Hello!  I just have a quick project share with you today.  I have been trying to make some notecards to donate to my daughter’s school for their annual fund raiser.   This is the first of 3 sets that I have completed.

Here is a look at one of the cards in the set.  I didn’t include photos of each card because they are all pretty similar.

Here is a look at the entire set.   The photo is a little warm.  The coloring in the photo above is more accurate.  Each is lined with Papertrey Rustic Cream cardstock.

So what do you think?  Do you think asking for a minimum bid of $5 for 6 notecards and envelopes is too high?  I’m not sure what to put on them.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Creative Belli Guest DT

Today I am honored to be a guest designer for the Creative Belli challenge.  This week the Creative Belli challenge is a recipe challenge.

Challenge #137 - RECIPE

(You must have 1 Ribbon, 2 Designer Papers, 3 Colors and 4 Rhinestones/Pearls on your project)

Remember that the spirit of the Belli challenges is to encourage you to use your OLD and FORGOTTEN embellishments!

I have to admit I struggled with this recipe.  I don’t know why, I think I just had a mental block.   I ended up making a set of note cards inspired by the design of Natalie’s card here.

Stop by the Creative Belli blog to join the challenge and check out the DT projects.

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff - Note Cards

Hello! I am trying to get back in the swing of things. I think I left my mojo with Mickey in Florida. I sure hope he is putting it to good use.

To keep it easy and not over tax my missing mojo, I decided to make some 4x4 note cards using Lindsay's new digital paper, Bold Black & White 12x12 papers.

Here are some close ups of all the cards..

I only used 3 of the papers in the set, but here is a look at all of them. Aren't they cool? I love that you can print on colored card stock to make your own DP.

Thank you for stopping by today. Please take a moment to visit the blogs of the rest of the DT. Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog to pick up the freebie she has posted.

Happy Birthday to my MIL!

I made this card for my Mother in-law's (MILs) birthday and I love the way it turned out. After I finished it, I thought I could also do something similar (and with the same sentiment) for a wedding.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Die Cuts R Us - Challenge 23 Ribbon
Flutterby Wednesday - Open Challenge
Totally Gorjuss - Dimension

I also made her a set of 8 note cards and box to hold them. Below is a sample of the cards and a photo of the card box.

Birthday Gift for a friend

I made this birthday gift for a friend. I haven't given it to her yet but I thought it would be safe to post since she hardly ever jumps on the computer and doesn't follow my blog.

I bought the La Creme Stack by DCWV last week at Hobby Lobby with my 40% off coupon. I love the flocking on the paper. I paired it up with some white and black card stock that I already had in my stash. I made a card box with 8 blank cards. (I show 2 examples in the pictures but they are all different.) I am including an altered notebook, beaded pen, book mark, 4 magnets and a paperweight. I also have a box of delicious Choxie chocolates to throw in. I added some paper to the plain white gift bag to jazz it up a bit and will tie it with black ribbon.

What do you think?

Supplies:
La Creme Stack
Misc white and black card stock
Card sentiments are from Close to my Heart For Every Occasion and Spring set
RSVP pen
2 sided tacky tape
micro beads
glass beads for magnets and paper weight
magnets
black ribbon
Just Rite Special Occasion Monogram stamper kit
Stampin' Up basic black ink pad
