Christmas Mouse

I have another card for the BYSH Blog Hop.  I am really enjoying this hop because it is giving me some much needed motivation to get a jump on making Christmas cards.

While looking through my Christmas digital stamps, I saw this cute little mouse and realized that I had not colored him before.  I used Microsoft Word to soften the lines of the images so that it would be more like lineless coloring.  I used a white gel pen to add back the accents on his sweater.

I always try to print/color multiple of the same image so that I can build my stash of cards.  I have another cute mouse colored and I hope I have time to create a card with him before the end of the hop.

Click on the image below for more information on the BYSH blog hop.

Catered Crop–Seeing Red

Hello!  I’m back. I’m sorry I have been gone so long.  Things have been so hectic that I haven’t had the chance to spend time in my craft room for months.  I was able to sneak away to my craft room for a while this weekend and hope to make it a regular event.

I decided to use the Catered Crop’s Seeing Red recipe swap and take the opportunity to cook up some note cards to give to my mother in-law.  Although I only had time to make 4 cards, it was great to spend time in my craft room again.

Last Post for 2012

I can’t believe we are at the end of 2012.    I hope that 2013 is a little smoother than this past year has been.      I have one last project to share with you.

2012-12-31 Mikes bday pheasant WM

I made this card for my hubby’s birthday last week.   I had to look at a lot of image on google in to color this guy.   He looks like the one that sometimes visits my yard.   He is missing the light colored speckles from his back but, to be honest, I was afraid of messing him up if I tried to add them.

Thank you for stopping by!   Have a Happy New Year!

Pet Sympathy

My sister in-law recently lost 2 of her cats so I made her a sympathy card using Meljen’s Designs “Kitty Angel”.

I experimented with coloring on kraft paper for this card.  I’m not sure if I love the results but it was a learning experience.

Last week was also a hard week for my family.  We lost Allie who was a member of our family for over 14 years.    It was such a sad day.    Below are a few photos of my girl.  We miss her.

Happy Birthday Amber Ink!

Twelve short months ago we made our big debut,

So now we'd like to commemorate our 1st birthday with you!

This flash mob of torchbearers always light our way.

Won't you please jog along on our special day?

Leave your comments here and there over the next 48.

On Friday we'll announce the loot. Don't wait...let's CELEBRATE!

I was lucky enough to be an Amber Ink torch bearer last February and am thrilled to be able to take part in this blog hop celebrating the first birthday of Amber Ink!

Since it isn’t a birthday party with out presents, cake, and a little vino, I made this card for the hop. Of course I had to add lots of gemstones because Amber, Pam and my teamies all deserve a little, well, make that a lot, of sparkle.

Your next stop on the hop is Michelle! Below you should also find a complete blog hop list, courtesy of a InLinkz tool. I won’t have a chance to check to make sure it works correctly on the day of the hop, so if there are any problems, you will be able to find the complete blog hop list on the Amber Ink blog.

Don't forget to hop around to all the blogs and leave comments for your chance to win Amber Ink goodies.

Thank you for hopping by!

P.S. While you are here, you might want to check out my blog candy post.
