We’re going MONOCHROME!

The new Sentimental Sundays challenge is MONOCHROME (with a sentiment)! This one was a bit of a challenge for me. I generally try to avoid monochrome projects because they intimidate me. But I gave this one a try and am pretty happy with the results.

I’m going to keep this post short since I am late getting it up. Drop by the Sentimental Sundays blog to see the other fabulous MONOCHROME (with a sentiment) creations from the rest of the DT and download your free sentiment set from Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs. I can’t wait to see your MONOCHROME project.

Have a great day!

Monochrome intimidates me too, but I think you've done a truly lovely job. Those shades of green are so pretty and the muted color of the lace is just the perfect little accent. :-)

This is so pretty, and I had to look twice to see that you used LIQUID pearls as opposed to actual pearl bling. How do you get them rounded out? I always seem to end up with "peaks" on my liquid pearls.

Give Thanks

With Thanksgiving coming up later this week, I thought I would make one last autumn themed card for the year using my favorite autumn image, Blessed Harvest (digital stamp) by Whimsy and Stars Studio.   I tried something a little different for me, I colored on kraft paper.  As often as I use kraft paper, I realized that I rarely color on it.   I also stepped outside my comfort zone again and left some white space.    Once I was finished with the card, I decided it looked a bit bare with out a sentiment so I created a rub on in order to add one on.  (You can see my tutorial on how to create a custom rub on here.)Thank you for stopping by!   Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!   Thank you for stopping by.Supplies:Stamps:   Blessed Harvest (digital stamp) by Whimsy and Stars Studio Inks:  Distress Ink Antique Linen Papers:  Papertrey Rustic Cream & Kraft CS, Simple Stories Harvest Lane paper pad Tools:  Sewing machine, Big Shot, Spellbinders Nestabilities (circle),  Die-na…

March Followers Candy

March is here. I wanted to put together a St. Patrick’s Day themed candy but never got the chance to get to the craft store. Instead, for March I have two 6x6 My Mind’s Eye paper pads to give to random follower. They may not be be good for St. Patty's Day crafting but they would make some gorgeous spring projects.

The usual rules apply.1) Please be a follower2) Leave your name and info in the linky tool below3 ) I would love it if you would post about my blog candy on your blog or Facebook, but it is not necessary.4) Leave a comment. It can be anything but I would really love to hear how you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Do you have a favorite dish you serve? Favorite Irish songs? Any other traditions?Entries close at midnight on 3-30-12. I will use to pick a winner and post the name to my blog with in a week. The winner has 10 days to contact me with their mailing address to claim their prize or I will pick a new winner.
In the spirit of gearing up for St. Patt…

Poppy Birthday

Hello!  I'm popping in to share the card I made for my sister in law's birthday.

I really enjoyed coloring this gorgeous poppy from the Beautiful Day digital bundle from Graciellie Design.  I didn't want to hide the flower with a bunch of patterned papers so I kept the design simple.  (CAS is so out of my comfort zone!)  I finished with a sentiment from Stampin' Up.  This stamp is from one of the very first stamp sets I ever bought.

Thank you for stopping by. Stay safe!
