Sentimental Sundays Celebrate Summer Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sentimental Sundays “Celebrate Summer” blog hop. Tuesday, June 21^st, is the official first day of summer in the northern hemisphere and we are ready for all the summer fun to begin. For our friends down under who are moving into their winter months and may not feel like creating a summery project, they may be making “Sparkly or Shimmery” projects.

For my project, I used Mo Manning’s digital image, Janie in July. I love this image. Janie reminds me of how my daughter looked a few years ago. I think she had a pink swim suit almost identical to this.

I’m not really comfortable coloring people. If you follow my blog, you might have noticed that I don’t ever do cards with people on them. Okay, I take that back. I have done 2 other cards where I have colored people. Trust me, you don’t want to look for them. Anyhow, I made a goal to try to practice my coloring and use some images with people over the summer. This card is the first step (after studying LOTS of coloring tutorials.)
