Best Witches with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

This past week end, my mojo was totally working for me. I got 6 cards done. That is amazing since usually I struggle to get 2-3 done. And I didn't even craft on Saturday because we took a trip down to Ikea to check out furniture and storage solutions for my future craft room. Yeah me! Okay, I am going to pipe down now before my muse thinks I am cocky and totally deserts me and get to the details of my LSS DT card.

I had fun making this card. I created the pumpkin using 3 ovals cut using my nesties. I embossed them and inked the edges. The stem was hand cut and then embossed and inked. After I assembled the pumpkin, I folded a matching piece of orange paper (for the fold in the card) and then traced my pumpkin. I cut it out for my card base and attached my pumpkin to the front. Does that make sense? If you would like more info, please feel free to email me.

I thought Lindsay's cute little witch from Cute Halloween would look perfect here. She is attached using pop dots from some dimension. I am still practicing using my Copic markers. This is the first time I tried to color anything black. Some parts of her look better than others but I was afraid to keep messing around with her.

Here is a look at the complete Cute Halloween set.

Please visit the rest of the DT blogs to see their LSS creations this week. As always, Lindsay will have a freebie on her blog.

What a cute stamp and so creative to use the nesties to make a pumpkin! You did a great job with the Copics, I am fairly new and would think black would be difficult, but wow, you did awesome. Have an awesome day.

Super Cute! Love all the little details you added to the card - it really works. I think you did a fantastic job coloring the black as it is one of the toughest colors to work with.

I really like the embossed detail to your pumpkin and the straw tie is perfect for the Fall themes!

Thanks for joining us at Aud Sentiments - hope to see again at our next challenge.

Give Thanks

With Thanksgiving coming up later this week, I thought I would make one last autumn themed card for the year using my favorite autumn image, Blessed Harvest (digital stamp) by Whimsy and Stars Studio.   I tried something a little different for me, I colored on kraft paper.  As often as I use kraft paper, I realized that I rarely color on it.   I also stepped outside my comfort zone again and left some white space.    Once I was finished with the card, I decided it looked a bit bare with out a sentiment so I created a rub on in order to add one on.  (You can see my tutorial on how to create a custom rub on here.)Thank you for stopping by!   Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!   Thank you for stopping by.Supplies:Stamps:   Blessed Harvest (digital stamp) by Whimsy and Stars Studio Inks:  Distress Ink Antique Linen Papers:  Papertrey Rustic Cream & Kraft CS, Simple Stories Harvest Lane paper pad Tools:  Sewing machine, Big Shot, Spellbinders Nestabilities (circle),  Die-na…

It can be anything but I would really love to hear how you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Do you have a favorite dish you serve? Favorite Irish songs? Any other traditions?Entries close at midnight on 3-30-12. I will use random.org to pick a winner and post the name to my blog with in a week. Poppy Birthday

Hello!  I'm popping in to share the card I made for my sister in law's birthday.

I really enjoyed coloring this gorgeous poppy from the Beautiful Day digital bundle from Graciellie Design.  I didn't want to hide the flower with a bunch of patterned papers so I kept the design simple.  (CAS is so out of my comfort zone!)  I finished with a sentiment from Stampin' Up.  This stamp is from one of the very first stamp sets I ever bought.

Thank you for stopping by. Stay safe!

Cheryl
