Welcome Drake!

One of my very good friends just became a grandma and I am so happy for her. The pictures she has shared of the baby are adorable.

I decided to make a card to send to congratulate her on becoming a grandmother. I didn't have any baby paper handy, so I used this boyish paper and think it works pretty well. I personalized the card by putting the baby's name (Drake) on the front.

Looking at the pictures, I now wish I did something to the lettering to make it stand out more. Since the card is already in the mail, it is too late to jazz it up now.

You probably noticed that I used On the Line by Lindsay's Stamp Stuff again. Not only is this one of my favorite, go-to stamp sets because it is so versatile, I was inspired by this card created by my fellow DT member, Karin.

On the Line is a great bargin at only $6 for 19 digital images.

Thank you for stopping by. Please be sure to visit the rest of the DT. Lindsay will have her weekly freebie posted for you.

Such a great card and I love the light distressing you gave it. Adds to the boy factor of it :) Love that edger punch too...has been on my wish list, such a trend right now. Only you could make it work on a baby card!

I acutally love the masculinity to this card! It is very refreshing compared to the light blues that you usually see on baby boy cards. I would know....haha. I'm about to have my 2nd boy! haha

Hi Cheryl - thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and comment on my 'Aloha' projects. I think your friend will like this card. Cute clothesline too! I find that when I put something together, after I've taken my pics I notice something that could have been better. Honestly, I didn't even notice the text because I'm immediately drawn to the image, which to me is the main focus of a card/creation. Don't sweat it, you did a great job, love went into it!
