Lindsay's Stamp Stuff - Birthday Card for OWH

Since I just sent a box of cards to OWH, I am starting to work on filling up a new box. I decided to use Lindsay's Steam Punk Stamps to make a birthday card because I haven't had the chance to play with the set yet.

Isn't this bike image fun? And it was so easy to use. Print it out, distress the edges with ink, and it is ready to go. I love having images like this on hand when you don't feel like, or don't have time for, coloring.

Look at the other fun images that come in this digital stamp set.

Since today is the first day of autumn, mygrafico.com is having a one-day only sale. Stop by the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff store on mygrafico to pick up some new digital sets.

Stop by the rest of the DT to see what they have created this week. Lindsay will have her weekly freebie up on her blog.

Pumpkin Spice - Birthday Wishes

While scrolling through the Pumpkin Spice shop, I noticed the great prices on the Christmas/Winter themed paper pads.    The fun colors and patterns on so many of the pages could be used for just about anything.   So I pulled out the “12 Days of Christmas” paper pad from My Mind’s Eye and set to work trying to make some cards.Since I never have enough birthday cards on hand, I thought that was what I would try first.  I started by punching out butterflies from several of the many patterns in the pad.    From there, I moved them around my card until I had an arrangement that I liked, added some stitching and stickers, and, “Ta Da!”, a birthday card! Since I also need a congratulations card for a friend , I thought I would see what I could make with the same paper pad.   I really love how this card turned out.(In real life, the glitter on the “U” is more similar to the aqua color in the paper.)So what do you think?   You can make some fabulous, non-holiday cards using holiday themed pap…

Catered Crop–Think Green Recipe Swap

The latest Catered Crop recipe swap is up!  With Earth Day on April 22 and National Arbor Day on April 25, it’s the perfect time to Think Green. Just make a project that includes the color green and come join our party at the Catered Crop. For my project, I dug out a photo of of our sweet Summer was taken about a year ago.   Although I have been pretty lax about scrapbooking the last few years, I really wanted to make sure I created a page with this photo for my daughter’s scrap book.   We lost Summer, who was a member of our family for almost 15 years, in February so this page seemed especially important to me.After finding some paper that used a lot of green in it, I used lots of various odds and ends that I found in my craft room.  I mixed various stickers and die cuts from other projects to create this page.  As always, Linda has curated a fabulous Pinterest board to get our create mojo working.  (Don’t you just love her boards?)    You can go directly to Linda’s “Green”board by cl…

Give Thanks

With Thanksgiving coming up later this week, I thought I would make one last autumn themed card for the year using my favorite autumn image, Blessed Harvest (digital stamp) by Whimsy and Stars Studio.   I tried something a little different for me, I colored on kraft paper.  As often as I use kraft paper, I realized that I rarely color on it.   I also stepped outside my comfort zone again and left some white space.    Once I was finished with the card, I decided it looked a bit bare with out a sentiment so I created a rub on in order to add one on.  (You can see my tutorial on how to create a custom rub on here.)Thank you for stopping by!   Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!   Thank you for stopping by.Supplies:Stamps:   Blessed Harvest (digital stamp) by Whimsy and Stars Studio Inks:  Distress Ink Antique Linen Papers:  Papertrey Rustic Cream & Kraft CS, Simple Stories Harvest Lane paper pad Tools:  Sewing machine, Big Shot, Spellbinders Nestabilities (circle),  Die-na…
