March Followers Candy

March is here. I wanted to put together a St. Patrick’s Day themed candy but never got the chance to get to the craft store. Instead, for March I have two 6x6 My Mind’s Eye paper pads to give to random follower. They may not be be good for St. Patty's Day crafting but they would make some gorgeous spring projects.

The usual rules apply.

1) Please be a follower

2) Leave your name and info in the linky tool below

3 ) I would love it if you would post about my blog candy on your blog or Facebook, but it is not necessary.

4) Leave a comment. It can be anything but I would really love to hear how you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Do you have a favorite dish you serve? Favorite Irish songs? Any other traditions?

Entries close at midnight on 3-30-12. I will use random.org to pick a winner and post the name to my blog with in a week. The winner has 10 days to contact me with their mailing address to claim their prize or I will pick a new winner.

In the spirit of gearing up for St. Patty’s Day, I thought I would share 2 of the recipes that my family loves. Every year I make Guinness-Braised Beef Brisket & Quick Cook Cabbage. I also have a new recipe for Irish Soda Bread that I am going to try this year. As for music, my Irish playlist includes everything from traditional music from the Chieftains and the Dubliners to Flogging Molly, Seven Nations, and the Tossers. If you are on Spotify, feel free to add some tunes to my “st. patty's collaborative mix”. (Type in “St. Patty’s Collaborative Mix” in the search box to find it.)

May you have the luck of the Irish in the draw!

Very nice paper choices! My bf likes to act like we need to go out and celebrate, but considering how far we are from our Irish roots, we normally kick back at one of our houses... ;D

Great candy! Thanks for the chance to win.
We don't celebrate St. Patrick day here :-)

Those papers look very springy and fresh. As I'm not from an English-speaking country, I don't celebrate St. Patrick's day, but I do love Irish (and Scottish) music, including the Chieftains, Dubliners (been to several concerts in the Netherlands), Mary Black, and also Loreena McKennitt. For a musical Irish Blessing you should check out The Blessing by Maura O'Connell on YouTube. Together with a friend I sang this song for a mutual friend at her 60th birthday. I used to sing in a small music group (just for fun) until I moved to Greece. It's one of the very few things I miss over here.

What fun paper pads. Thanks for a chance. The main thing we do for St. Patty's day is dress in green and hang up shamrocks. This year I'm making each of my kids a little Pot of Gold with some yummy treats.

Love these papers Cheryl! My family doesn't actually celebrate this day, but my husband having Irish roots, I've started to make some traditional dishes for him. My kids only think the potato cakes are yummy!

I so love MME papers! these are beautiful!
one of our fave Irish music groups is Gaelic Storm and we listen to them all the time. they are so good and come to the big Irish Festival here in Ohio every year. they performed in the movie 'Titanic' so you may have heard of them before. we have quite a few of their CD's. of course we also enjoy Celtic Women and catch their PBS specials whenever they are on.

For St. Patrick's day I always try to begin the day with green breads and scones. my family enjoys corned beef with potatoes.

hope you have a wonderful week, Cheryl! :)

Hi Cheryl,
This candy is fab! We don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day here in the Philipines, but we do have a celebration for other saints. Saint John is the most popular and is celebrated every June 6th. If it falls on Sunday, we hit the beaches. But if during weekdays, beware of water splashing on your way to work/school! LOL!

What a great, kind giveaway. My family and I have never really upheld any St. Patty's Days traditions. But with the crafting community, it's been getting me inspired to at least celebrate in the form of cards, which I then send to friends.

Well, here in Russia we don't celebrate this day, however I like to know more about it. Regards,

Those paper pads are so lovely Cheryl, thank you for giving us the opportunity to get our crafty mitts on it :) No St Patrick's traditions in our house I'm afraid, as we don't celebrate it in the Netherlands, but I am very partial to some Irish soda bread and some Irish stew alongside, with a cold Smithwick's pint on the side :) I've put your candy in my side bar too!

Hello Priya,
We celebrated with the normal corned bef, cabbage, etc. with the family. My favorites are the drinks and beer. I eat just about anything. If I had to choose it would be "shepherds pie". Your work is great and your post is fun! Have a fab day.

Whoot, Whoot, the blog candy is awesome. The paper is sooo fabulous and would be just amazing to use! I am passing on your candy on facebook. For St. Patty's day we just make sure to where green and well honestly all of my favorite Irish songs are bye the Irish Rovers...it is too hard to pick one. Love them all. That is our tradition is to where green and listen to some cheery music.

Thanks so much for this chance.
