A is for Autumn and Apples!

Pin It

It’s Sunday so it is time for a new Sentimental Sundays challenge. This week our challenge is “Autumn”. Don’t forget to include a sentiment!

For my card I inked up a House Mouse stamp that I had stashed away. I get so used to using digital images that I sometimes forget that I have some rubber laying around. I love to go apple picking with my family in the fall. We have fun trying all different varieties of apples, posing for cheesy photos, and just goofing around. Of course we also love the fresh donuts and apple cider shakes they sell there too. This little guy reminds me of all the fun that we will have in the not to distant future when we head to the apple orchard.

I planned on chatting on a while more but things got a bit hectic with a sick dog, an emergency trip to the vet, and mopping the floor numerous times. I’ll save you the details and postpone my chit chat for a better day.

I hope you will join the Sentimental Sundays team and link up your “Autumn” themed project (with a sentiment). Be sure to stop by the Sentimental Sundays blog to see the projects created by my talented teamies.

Have a great day!

How adorable is this!! Love the stitching.

I hope your dog is doing much better. Whoever said dogs aren't like kids didn't have one long enough and shouldn't own a dog! Cause I have 4 and they keep me hopping especially when they are sick or a thunderstorm or they want attention....

Thanks for playing in Clearly Inspired Challenge. The new challenge was posted today so I hope you come over and play again with us.
THUD!! Ummm, that's my jaw hitting the FLOOR!! This is STUNNING Cheryl!! I'm lovin' that dotty background too! Thanks so much for playing along in my That's Krafty Thursday challenge! {{{hen hugs}}}

Berry the Snowman

Okay, Berry the Snowman doesn’t have the same ring as Frosty, but I think his cuteness totally makes up for it.  This is another one of the images that I colored during my crafting day with a friend before Thanksgiving.  I’m happy I had the chance to get him on a card.    Have a great week!  Thank you for stopping by!Supplies:Stamps:  Berry from Stacy Yacula Studio at Purple Onion DesignsInks:  Memento Tuxedo Black Papers:  Neenah Classic Craft Solar White CS, Papertrey kraft CS, Carta Bella Winter Fun paper pad 6x6 Tools:  Sewing machine, Big Shot, Papertrey Doily details die, Stampin’ Up corner punch, Copic markers Embellishments:  May Arts Burlap twine, Tattered Angels glimmer mist, button Challenges:Clear It Out 2W, 3E, Must use stash item - Challenge: Anything Goes Stash Item:Anything Goes (Twine, button, die cut – had it cut and sitting in a bin since last Xmas)Loves Rubber Stamps W - #82 Anything Goes ChristmasOldie But A Goodie Challenge 2W, must use something at least 6mts ol…

Pumpkin Spice - Birthday Wishes

While scrolling through the Pumpkin Spice shop, I noticed the great prices on the Christmas/Winter themed paper pads.    The fun colors and patterns on so many of the pages could be used for just about anything.   So I pulled out the “12 Days of Christmas” paper pad from My Mind’s Eye and set to work trying to make some cards.Since I never have enough birthday cards on hand, I thought that was what I would try first.  I started by punching out butterflies from several of the many patterns in the pad.    From there, I moved them around my card until I had an arrangement that I liked, added some stitching and stickers, and, “Ta Da!”, a birthday card! Since I also need a congratulations card for a friend , I thought I would see what I could make with the same paper pad.   I really love how this card turned out.(In real life, the glitter on the “U” is more similar to the aqua color in the paper.)So what do you think?   You can make some fabulous, non-holiday cards using holiday themed pap…

Catered Crop–Seeing Red

Hello!  I’m back. I’m sorry I have been gone so long.  Things have been so hectic that I haven’t had the chance to spend time in my craft room for months.  I was able to sneak away to my craft room for a while this weekend and hope to make it a regular event.I decided to use the Catered Crop’s Seeing Red recipe swap and take the opportunity to cook up some note cards to give to my mother in-law.  Although I only had time to make 4 cards, it was great to spend time in my craft room again.As always, Linda cooked up a fabulous Pinterest board to help get our creative mojo flowing.   Click on the photo below to go to her Seeing Red inspiration board.Don’t forget to link up your Seeing Red creations at the Catered Crop.Thank you for stopping by!Supplies:Stamps:  Fancy Flourishes & Little Labels from Papertrey Ink Inks:  Close To My Heart Hollyhock & Papertrey Ink Kraft inks Papers:  Papertrey white CS, My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up 6x6 paper pad, misc. scrap red CS, Starbuc…
