Now onto the truths and lies from my Creative Writer Blogger Award.

1) My secret (or now not so secret) guilty pleasure is watching Glee. **True - and sadly the season is over.... Insert sad face here.

2) I am a Starbucks mocha junkie. **True - Although I don't like coffee, for some crazy reason I have a weakness for cafe mocha.

3) I love hip-hop music. ** False - I love all kinds of music except most hip-hop, rap, and heavy metal. If you are a music fan, feel free to look me up on lastfm HERE.

4) I couldn't live with out chocolate. ** True - Isn't that a sad state of affairs?

5) I have been to London 3 times. ** True - I love London and England.

6) I lost part of my right thumb in a tragic Cricut accident. ** False - I really hope you got this one right. I am accident prone but even I haven't managed this one yet.

7) I stood next to Elijah Wood at a Hollywood Oscar party. **True - In 2004 when the Lord of the Rings movie won a ton of Oscars. The party was right after the Oscars and it was super fun. Below is a picture of my best friend, my brother and I where the stars did their Q&A with the press. HERE are more pictures from before, during, and after the party if you are interested.

That's it..... It is probably way more information about me than you ever wanted. Have a great week.

Pumpkin Spice - Birthday Wishes

While scrolling through the Pumpkin Spice shop, I noticed the great prices on the Christmas/Winter themed paper pads.    The fun colors and patterns on so many of the pages could be used for just about anything.   So I pulled out the “12 Days of Christmas” paper pad from My Mind’s Eye and set to work trying to make some cards.Since I never have enough birthday cards on hand, I thought that was what I would try first.  I started by punching out butterflies from several of the many patterns in the pad.    From there, I moved them around my card until I had an arrangement that I liked, added some stitching and stickers, and, “Ta Da!”, a birthday card! Since I also need a congratulations card for a friend , I thought I would see what I could make with the same paper pad.   I really love how this card turned out.(In real life, the glitter on the “U” is more similar to the aqua color in the paper.)So what do you think?   You can make some fabulous, non-holiday cards using holiday themed pap…

Catered Crop–Seeing Red

Hello!  I’m back. I’m sorry I have been gone so long.  Things have been so hectic that I haven’t had the chance to spend time in my craft room for months.  I was able to sneak away to my craft room for a while this weekend and hope to make it a regular event.I decided to use the Catered Crop’s Seeing Red recipe swap and take the opportunity to cook up some note cards to give to my mother in-law.  Although I only had time to make 4 cards, it was great to spend time in my craft room again. As always, Linda cooked up a fabulous Pinterest board to help get our creative mojo flowing.   Click on the photo below to go to her Seeing Red inspiration board.Don’t forget to link up your Seeing Red creations at the Catered Crop.Thank you for stopping by!Supplies:Stamps:  Fancy Flourishes & Little Labels from Papertrey Ink Inks:  Close To My Heart Hollyhock & Papertrey Ink Kraft inks Papers:  Papertrey white CS, My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up 6x6 paper pad, misc. scrap red CS, Starbuc…
