Catered Crop–Good Birthdays Recipe Swap

The Catered Crop has a recipe challenge for every one.  Who doesn’t need birthday cards?    I always feel like I am rushing to get them done and popped in the mail on time (or only a little late).  So this is your chance to get a couple birthday cards made before the last minute!  Yeah!I escaped for a while into my craft room on Sunday afternoon. Wouldn’t you know that I finally find time to get up there and then  I can’t come up with a single idea.  That is when Pinterest really comes in handy.   After surfing around for a bit, I was inspired by this beautiful card by Joy Taylor at Simple by Design.  I used different papers and changed the layout a bit.  Of course if you are looking for some birthday inspiration, Linda from the Catered Crop has put together this fabulous Pin-spiration board.    You can click on the photo below to go to the board. If you are inspired to make some birthday cards, don’t forget to share them by posting your link at the Catered Crop.  Thank you for stoppin…

My Heart is Yours

Hello!  I have another card to share with you today.  I made this last week when I was able to sneak off to my craft room for a while. It was a really busy week.  My daughter played the clarinet at Band-O-Rama on Wednesday.  I was so proud of the kids. They all did a great job.  (Although I have to say I won’t miss her practicing the best of Queen on the clarinet.  Some things, like Queen and clarinets, just don’t go together.)     We also found out she was picked as a “Taste Agent” for Skratch Labs.  It is her first sponsorship/endorsement for fencing.  Yeah!  Mix in basketball practice, drama rehearsals, cheerleading for the boy’s basketball team, and playing the piano, she is one busy kid.   (I’ll take this moment to brag she is also on Honor Roll.)  I asked her if she like being so busy and if she was sure she wanted to participate in so many activities and I received a resounding “Yes!”.    As long as she keeps her grades up, I’m okay with it.My job has been keeping me really busy…
