Scrappy Note Cards

Hello!  I was going to post these cards on Thursday but I lost track of time this week.  It has been a bit of a crazy week.  I lost my job of 15 years on Tuesday and I have been busy doing paper work and tying up loose ends.   Although I definitely am not happy that I was laid off, I think this might be the kick in the rear that I need to re-examine my goals and give something new a try.   Maybe I’ll even be able to find something in the crafting world.

Anyhow, this is another set of notecards that I made for the fundraiser at my daughter’s school.    I wanted to use up some designer paper scraps that I have been saving.  I like this collection too much to throw out the last few pieces that I had left.  I think I will be turning to this design again in the future to use up some scraps.

I don’t want to post pictures of each individual card since they are basically the same.  Instead, here is a look at the set of 6 note cards.

What an excellent and fun way to use up your scraps. Sorry to hear about losing your job. I know what it's like. I've been made redundant twice, but I wouldn't be where I was now (living in Greece) if I hadn't been forced to start my own business, first working as a tech writer and then becoming a full-time translator. Being a translator means I can work from anywhere.
I'm sure there will be new opportunities knocking on your door soon. So stay calm and keep crafting. ;-)

So sorry to hear about your job loss but praying that since God closed one door, he'll open a window!! I've been away for awhile recovering from back surgery and have definitely missed you and your creations! These are fantastic Cheryl - love the papers and the design is so fun and chic! Cool little set I'm sure anyone would love to have :)

This is a great layout indeed and you made it over the top by all that stitching! It's perfect...when I try and sew, the lines are crooked and never end right. sigh. Good luck finding the "next" job or thing - I wish you great success!

Sorry to hear about you losing your job Cheryl, that really is tough! But you are right, as one door closes another might open where you least expect it. Love you notelet set, really good idea to use of those little pesky scraps at the bottom of the scrappy shoebox. I might try something like this too, I have plenty of scraplets to do it :)
