And the Winner is…..

Did you vote?    Are you anxiously waiting to find out the winner?

Your wait is over!  The winner is …   Sunflower Bird!   Head over to the Whimsy & Stars Studio blog to download this little cutie as a freebie while you can. (While you are there, don’t forget to sign up as a follower so you don’t miss out on any future freebies.)  He will be available only until this Saturday, Sept. 8 at Noon (Eastern Time).  After that, you will be able to find him in the Whimsy and Stars Studio store.

Here is a card that I put together using this new, autumn-themed image.

2012-09-06 Sunflower bird WM

When I think of autumn birds, for some reason crows always come to my mind.   I wish all the crows around my house were as cute as this little bird!   (Did you know a group of crows is called a “murder””?  No wonder they have such a sinister reputation.)

You may be wondering about the other image “It’s Fall”.  Don’t worry, if you love that image as much as I do, it will be available in the Whimsy and Stars Studio store later today.

Thank you for stopping by!  Don’t forget to stop by the Whimsy & Stars Studio blog to download Sunflower Bird before Saturday.

Well, both images could of won - since they are both terrific! Your crow is adorable and yes - when I think of crows - I think 'mean' - but I just saw a video of a crow and a kitten that were best friends on You Tube and it was adorable!!!!!!!!!

Great pp here and the button in the middle of the sunflower is a great touch!!!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Catered Crop–Seeing Red

Hello!  I’m back. I’m sorry I have been gone so long.  Things have been so hectic that I haven’t had the chance to spend time in my craft room for months.  I was able to sneak away to my craft room for a while this weekend and hope to make it a regular event.I decided to use the Catered Crop’s Seeing Red recipe swap and take the opportunity to cook up some note cards to give to my mother in-law.  Although I only had time to make 4 cards, it was great to spend time in my craft room again. As always, Linda cooked up a fabulous Pinterest board to help get our creative mojo flowing.   Click on the photo below to go to her Seeing Red inspiration board.Don’t forget to link up your Seeing Red creations at the Catered Crop.Thank you for stopping by!Supplies:Stamps:  Fancy Flourishes & Little Labels from Papertrey Ink Inks:  Close To My Heart Hollyhock & Papertrey Ink Kraft inks Papers:  Papertrey white CS, My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up 6x6 paper pad, misc. scrap red CS, Starbuc…

Catered Crop–Think Green Recipe Swap

The latest Catered Crop recipe swap is up!  With Earth Day on April 22 and National Arbor Day on April 25, it’s the perfect time to Think Green. Just make a project that includes the color green and come join our party at the Catered Crop. For my project, I dug out a photo of of our sweet Summer was taken about a year ago.   Although I have been pretty lax about scrapbooking the last few years, I really wanted to make sure I created a page with this photo for my daughter’s scrap book.   We lost Summer, who was a member of our family for almost 15 years, in February so this page seemed especially important to me.After finding some paper that used a lot of green in it, I used lots of various odds and ends that I found in my craft room.  I mixed various stickers and die cuts from other projects to create this page.  As always, Linda has curated a fabulous Pinterest board to get our create mojo working.  (Don’t you just love her boards?)    You can go directly to Linda’s “Green”board by cl…
