Tutorial on Faux Brads

I have a short tutorial on the Meljen’s Designs blog showing how I made the faux brads I used on this card last week.  Stop by if you would like to see it.

(You can see the original post for this card with the list of supplies used HERE.)

Sorry about the scab on my knuckle in the photos.  My little parrot decided to give me a nip last week. (The little stinker….)

Have a great day!  I’ll be back tomorrow with my weekly Meljen’s Designs DT project post.

Adorable card! Love the colors. Sorry about the parrot bite. I tried having birds as a pet one time and they bit me every single time I fed them!

Very cool tutorial! Never would have thought you made those with JUST paper. Sorry about your bird- ours is biting less thanks to lots of training. But the yelling hasn't gotten any better. Still researching that one!

Berry the Snowman

Okay, Berry the Snowman doesn’t have the same ring as Frosty, but I think his cuteness totally makes up for it.  This is another one of the images that I colored during my crafting day with a friend before Thanksgiving.  I’m happy I had the chance to get him on a card.    Have a great week!  Thank you for stopping by!Supplies:Stamps:  Berry from Stacy Yacula Studio at Purple Onion DesignsInks:  Memento Tuxedo Black Papers:  Neenah Classic Craft Solar White CS, Papertrey kraft CS, Carta Bella Winter Fun paper pad 6x6 Tools:  Sewing machine, Big Shot, Papertrey Doily details die, Stampin’ Up corner punch, Copic markers Embellishments:  May Arts Burlap twine, Tattered Angels glimmer mist, button Challenges:Clear It Out 2W, 3E, Must use stash item - Challenge: Anything Goes Stash Item:Anything Goes (Twine, button, die cut – had it cut and sitting in a bin since last Xmas)Loves Rubber Stamps W - #82 Anything Goes ChristmasOldie But A Goodie Challenge 2W, must use something at least 6mts ol…
It has been a really long time since I have been able to spend time in my craft room.  One of my New Years resolutions was to get back into my craft room on a regular basis.  Well, it is now October and I am finally here.  I'm hoping to be back more often.

I made this card to send to a family member that has been in my thoughts a lot lately.

I hope to have more to share soon.

Sweet 16!

Hello!  I managed to sneak into my craft room for a bit today.  My daughter is turning 16 next week. (Where does the time go?)

Since the demise of Picasa, I have not found a new program to edit my photos.  I know there are several available but I have not had time to learn a new program.  I apologize that my photos are less than optimal at the moment.

Have a great day!  Thank you for stopping by.
