Halloween Blog Candy!

** This post will stay on top until 9-20-2011. Please scroll down to see new posts. **

I wasn’t planning on offering blog candy this month, BUT I messed up and ordered 2 Apothecary Emporium paper pads. With Halloween coming up soon, I thought I would offer it up as blog candy now so that the winner will have time to use it to make some creepy, fun projects.

The blog candy consists of these two Halloween related items, a Echo Park Apothecary Emporium 6x6 paper pad and a brand new Sleepy Hollow DVD. (You can click on the images for more information.)

The blog candy will end on September 20th and I will use Random.org to pick the winner. I am having foot surgery at the end of September and I won’t be able to drive for 4 weeks so I want to be able to get this to the post office before then.

So what do you have to do to get a chance to win my Halloween candy?

  1. Be a follower of my blog
  2. Enter your info in the Linky tool below
  3. Leave a comment telling me what you love best about Halloween, what was your favorite costume, or just saying “Hi”.

Easy peasy! Good luck!

Awesome candy and you know, I've never seen that movie? What I love most about halloween now is hearing about the three hundred versions of what my boys want to be and then seeing them dressed up as what they finally settled on. Too cute@

Hey Cheryl!!
My favorite memory is when I was young we would go on hayrides and have a fall festival at church! The older men would hide out in the woods and jump out and scare us to death!! I still laugh when I think of beating one of them up with my high heel shoe!! Thanks for the chance to win this awesome blog candy! Hugs, Leanne

Oh wishing you a fast recovery from your surgery....I just love all the little ones that dress up for halloween...frankenstien,goblins, fun unique costumes...not much of a fan of being a table. My mom's great idea when i was 8 or 9. Made a square tabletop to fit on my shoulders and glued plates, silverware and such on top...i tell you it was so hard getting to doors, noone could be around and to reach in front to get candy was a nightmare...we didn't think ahead.ha ha...tfs

First of all, thanks for the chance to win! Halloween is my favorite holiday. The thing I love most...the costumes! One time my dad dressed up as a can of shaving cream...he even made this apparatus so that when you pushed the button on the top of his costume, shaving cream would come out the nozzle. It was fantastic! Thanks again!

Wow, what a lovely candy!
Well, I have no Halloween stories, as in Ukrainian culture we didn't have any of this until few years ago. Ukrainians celebrate this day by going to the cemeteries and praying for souls of the departed ones. And here in Canada I watch what people do for Halloween and their way to have fun on this day. Our family goes for walks in the neighbourhood to see how people decorate their houses and front yards. Some are really creative and fun!

Chrissy said...

Thankyou dor the chance Cheryl, love the papers...fantastic, AND a DVD, mmm..candy in itself...We dont celebrate Halloween in NZ, but I do remember years ago, my son wanted to do trick or treat with friends, so I let him dress up, and all ready to go, he passed the hallway mirror, took one look at himself and scared himself sensless...No he didnt go out that year, and dont think he ever did after that..lol..

This is a great pad. Thanks for offering it to us. My favorite Halloween memory was when my daughter, who is a nurse practitioner, was having an asthma attack. She was determined to take her children Trick or Treating. So we dressed her up in a robe and slippers, wrapped gauze around her head and put her in my Mom's wheelchair. Her Best Friend wore my daughter's lab coat, hung her stethoscope around her neck and pushed her around the neighborhood.

Foot surgery, sounds painful. I don't do pain so you should do pain meds! :)

oh I have been eyeing this paper pack for a while now.... of course I have the pink one, but the patterns in this are so gorgeous, too! and Sleepy Hollow is one of our fave spooky movies! we don't happen to own it, so this would be a wonderful prize. :)

will be saying prayers for your upcoming surgery. I am sure everything will go just fine. :)

For Halloween each year, some friends & our family get together and put on a 'hot dog house' - we give away freshly grilled hot dogs, coffee, hot cocoa, water, & chips to all of the people in our little town trick-or-treating. we've been doing this for almost 10 years now. it's all free for people who stop by and we don't accept donations either. just a special thing we do, kinda like a grand RAK to the community. we usually have 3 families putting it on and give away about 300 or so hot dogs. people look forward to it every year! our sons have even come home from college to take part, it's that much a part of our family tradition!

Hi, Cheryl! What I like best about Halloween is that it's fall! I love bonfires & cool air and hot cocoa! When I was in 4th grade (a LONG time ago) I was Annie in a town parade and had this huge yellow stuffed dog I carried around with me. I won second place in the town costume contest. Cool, huh? lol

Hi Cheryl! How awesome is this blog candy! THANKS for the opportunity! My favorite Halloween memory is of the "bunny" costume that my grandmother made, that was handed down from several older cousins and then both of my older brothers! :) By the time it got to me it was all patched up and very comfortable. I don't think that my Grandma would have called her sewing "crafting," it was mostly done out of necessity.. but she always seemed to have a smile on her face while she was doing it! I wasn't that into Halloween as a kid, but once I had kids of my own & lived in a neighborhood rather than the country, I've really grown to love it. I handmake my kids costumes every year. It's hard to choose a favorite; we've done all the Disney princesses, Harry Potter, dinosaurs, dogs & last year for my tween - the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp version).

Cheryl, this is such a great idea! I have always loved October and Halloween became my largest reason why when both of my children were born in October and every year I hand made every costume they ever wore! You should see the Giraffe head Sammantha wanted when she was 7! Too cute! Then later, every party with the dunking of apples, scary wooded paths and strobe lights and the Halloween costume contests with all their friends at the bowling alley or at Hocking Hills with the outdoor challenge group! I've rambeled enough now and will finish by saying HIYA, glad to visit, your autumn card is adorable and thanks for the opportunity!
