Sentimental Sundays–Anything But A Card

It’s Sunday so it is time for a new Sentimental Sundays challenge. This week we are challenging you to make anything you like, except a card. Don’t forget to include a sentiment.

Since I have been trying new things this week, I decided to try stamping on tile. I am so hooked on digital stamps that I rarely break out my rubber or acrylic stamps any more except for the occasional sentiment. So this week, I used real, actual stamps along with my sadly neglected StazOn ink pads to try stamping on tile.

(I apologize for the shadows in the picture. I had a really hard time trying to get a decent picture.)

I don’t think I like the way they turned out much. I want to change something but I’m just not sure what. My DH says he really likes them (see why I love him?) I am happy I tried something new and tried to push my way out of my comfortable little creative space a little bit.

I hope you will join us at the Sentimental Sundays blog and show us your anything but a card project (with a sentiment). I saw some sneak peeks of the projects some of the other DT members created and they are gorgeous. We are also introducing our new DT. I am so excited to meet all these talented ladies. Stop by the Sentimental Sundays blog to meet them. A few have projects today, but they don’t “officially” start until next week, so be sure to come back!

**edited to add** This tip came up in some emails between SS DT members and I thought I would pass it on. As many people know, Blogger has been a bit naughty lately. Now that it is mostly done eating our posts, it won’t let us leave bloggy love, in the form of comments, for other bloggers. The tip is that when you log in, uncheck the box that says “Stay Logged In”. I tried it and haven’t had any problems leaving comments since then. I hope this helps.

Don’t forget the OWH blog hop is still going on. Feel free to enter my candy drawing for the hop.

Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy your week end!

These are really beautiful Cheryl, this was the direction I was going to go with my tiles before I got carried away! I much prefer yours to mine, we can swap if you want :D

I love the tiles, I wouldn't change or add anything, they are so soft looking and great colors. Would never know you were out of your comfort zone. I found another tip for naughty Blogger, clear out your history/cookies, I found that worked best for me so far.
