Sentimental Sundays - All About You

Hello my friends! I am sorry I don't have any eye candy for you today. Between migraines, storms, a police search for an armed fugitive in the area, loss of power, loss of A/C, child freaking out about the storms, A/C, and said fugitive and just life in general this crazy week I wasn't able to get my project done. Thankfully the migraine has passed, we have power and the 2nd repairman got the A/C going again. (The police are still looking for the fugitive but think he left the area.)

This week for the Sentimental Sunday's Challenge, Ann is asking us to use our favorite sentiment. Hmmm.... How about something to the effect "Life is too short to skip the chocolate"? It is all about the chocolate, isn't it? Or I know, how about "Calgon take me away!". It may not be a proper card sentiment, but is seems appropriate this week. Anyhow, I saw sneak peeks of some of the projects from the rest of the DT and you don't want to miss them. So go over to the Sentimental Sunday's blog, down load the free sentiment set from Ann, and check out the fabulous projects from the rest of the DT. While you are there, why don't you post a card or project using your favorite sentiment for your chance to win some of Ann's wonderful sentiment sets? All the details are on the challenge site.

I had some other fun stuff happen this week. I won the sketch challenge on the Annabelle Stamps blog with the card I made for my Dad for Father's Day. I won a free digi from Fresh Brewed Designs for posting their new challenge blog button. Check out the blog HERE and the store HERE. (I picked Desert Fiesta because it was so stinkin' adorable!) And best of all I received a RAK from my blogging buddy Karin which totally made my day on Friday. (And she included some chocolate. Does she know me or what?)
.
Lastly, I have been sadly remiss in posting this award from another blogging buddy, Leanne.

The rules for this award are to pass it on to 10 awesome bloggers and tell where you would like to be in 10 years. In 10 years, I would like to see my daughter in college. I would love it if both hubby and I were retired (early retirement) but if that doesn't work I would like to be able to reduce my work hours to part time so I could spend more time crafting and more time with friends. I might even get off my duff and be teaching business classes at one of the local colleges or technical schools. As for passing this on to 10 awesome bloggers, I have met so many wonderful, inspiring women since I entered the blogging world last October that I am having a hard time choosing. I would love to pass it on to each and every one of you. (Does that sound like a cop out? Sorry... My blogging life is my place to break the rules.) If you would like this award, please post on your blog and follow the rules. (Do as I say, not as I do.)

Wow - what a long post, especially since I did not have a project. I hope you all have a wonderful day today. I am looking forward to seeing your entry in the Sentimental Sundays challenge with your favorite sentiment or quote.

"What a week I'm having!!!" I love that quote but can't remember the movie!!! Anyways, sounds like you had a "week" like that.

Glad your migrane passed, the A/C is back on and the fugitive has moved on (or even better - has been caught!!)

Congrats on all the GOOD things that happened this week though :)
