Owl Always Love Hoo! Mygrafico Customer Blog Hop

Okay, I'm gonna lay out on the table before I get too far into this post. I don't know what happened, but I think I went a little nuts with my distressing tool and sanding block on this card. I was trying to make a nice masculine looking Valentine's day card for my DH and went a little crazy. I didn't like any of my BG stamps or embossing folders for the green piece so I just CRUMBLED IT UP. Yep, I admit it. I balled up this lovely green paper as tight as I could. Then, guess what, I smoothed it out and balled it up again, again, and again.... Then I sanded it... This poor lovely green paper.... But, I think it looks kind of cool. It was a stinker to get to stick though. My tape just didn't want to hold it.

So what do yo think? I'm just not sure.

It turned out great! I love how the sentiment is curved around the image and distressing a card is a great idea to "guy" it up!

So, you went crazy! Was that just now or have you been for awhile?
LOL I think this roughed up, distressed, wrinkled, battered card is just perfect. What does make us think that the guy cards need to be distressed. It's a common malady of the female card makers of the world. So, Call us crazy! We love it!

I think it's terrific! In my opinion, you can't grunge up a card too much. I love the crumpled, sanded panel. And the curved sentiment is a cool touch. I thin you rocked the masculine valentine challenge! So happy you could join in the fun with Our Creative Corner and Pile it On this week.
